The aim of counselling is to help you to explore your personal difficulties in a safe and confidential way. Many people find that over time this can help them to feel better and make problems seem easier to deal with.
How frequently? How many sessions?
Sessions are a standard 50 minutes long. People often like to meet at a regular weekly or fortnightly time, especially to start with, and spread them out as things improve. Although if you have commitments that make a fixed time difficult, I can also be flexible with appointment times. We can discuss this at the end of each session.
You are under no obligation to have a specific number of sessions, nor to continue if it does not feel helpful. Equally, there are no limitations in terms of a fixed or limited number of sessions. If you feel the need for longer-term support, I can be here for as long as you need.
Do you offer evening appointments?
I can offer evening sessions so it's worth asking, if this would be a better option for you.
How much does it cost?
My standard fee is £75 per session, with a reduced rate for those on lower incomes. I am always more than willing to discuss my fees in a flexible way.
